Area Sales Manager (Arlington, TX)

Area Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for professionally managing and adhering to all aspects of sales responsibilities including weekly sales call reporting to properly monitor and measure the effectiveness of produced or non-produced sales efforts and results.

  • Accurately enter orders into ERP system to ensure proper distribution and billing of products.
  • Enhance the overall development and growth in all budgeted sales categories, including gallon growth, maximizing selling prices, increasing sales revenues, gross margins, and percentages, and cents per gallon gross margins of the Division
  • Expected to cooperate and communicate professionally when working directly with all Tulco team members, as well as all suppliers/vendors to ensure Tulco’s business relationship is respected and professionally maintained.
  • Professionally interact regularly with the Credit and Collection departments and personnel to ensure that credit risks and collection problems are limited, minimized, identified, communicated, delegated, and resolved. Assist in the collection efforts directly with customers when necessary.
  • Responsible for direct customer contact to professionally participate in deciding how business situations and conditions should be determined and handled consistent with Tulco’s business practices and policies. Maintain active involvement in the expenditures of account analysis and management, available and allocated advertising and business funds.
  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of the Division sales territory’s monthly and annual forecasted goals and budgets of gallon volumes, selling prices, sales revenues, and gross margins, cents per gallon.
  • Responsible for the professional tracking, monitoring, evaluating and reporting all weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports in the requested time period of each. This requires evaluating all accounts, managing and assigning and defining all territory account numbers
  • Responsible for the sales and marketing activities of the sales territory such as diligent and aggressive prospecting and making sales calls as necessary to obtain and retain key customer accounts.

Bachelor degree in business management or related field, plus industrial/manufacturing sales experience (preferably in industrial lubricants), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software and ERP software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to work independently
