Production Associate (Tulsa, OK)

Summary:.  Check product quantity and quality, complete production jobs, pack items, following safety protocols, labeling containers, using equipment such as forklifts, filling equipment and keeping the working area clean and organized.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Operates and monitors all equipment including tanks, mixers, scales, meters, pump, etc.
  • Cleans all equipment, tanks, and vessels as needed.
  • Observes and follows safety procedures set by the company.
  • Refers all issues to the lead/supervisor.
  • Transfers finish product into drums, and totes to complete orders. Weighs up chemicals for batching. Ensures all chemicals returned to inventory have weights and are cleaned. Verifies raw chemical usage on each batch are added correctly with correct weights.
  • Ensures all chemicals returned to inventory has the correct quantity and information on the chemicals.
  • Completes all paperwork and batch documentation in a timely manner.
  • Submits finished product samples to the lab for approval.
  • Monitors all temperatures on batches that require heating and cooling.
  • Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Ensures inventory control by proper placement of order location and materials.
  • Provides quality service by following organization standards.
  • Preserves safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat. Promotes clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Completes reports by entering required information.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:   This position has no direct reports.

 

QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED, or equivalent.  Previous production, blending and warehouse experience preferred but not required.  Forklift certification required within 30 days of employment.

Physical / Mental Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to handle, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Frequently required to stand, crouch, kneel, and stoop.   Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required.  Must be able to work in stressful situations and handle multiple priorities.  Must demonstrate interpersonal and organizational skills to effectively interact with co-workers, management, and external vendors and customers. Must be able to read and comprehend written and oral instructions including safety rules, operating procedures, and material identification.  Must have mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide as well as making the necessary conversions.  Must have basic computer skills
